Cute and Easy Valentine Snacks

Being THAT mom

I really want to be THAT mom. You know…the one who always does fancy little treats for school parties. However, I want to be THAT mom in the easiest way possible! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚ I’m trying to teach myself how to do this properly because with my overthinking brain I usually end up planning something entirely too extravagant and I’m either stressed out to the max to get it done or completely fail to do anything. I really wanted to make some cute and easy Valentine snacks for my son’s party this year!

Here’s my chance!

I really dropped the ball on the Halloween snacks. I ended up just sending some of those tiny cheezit snacks that I already had in the pantry. And then my cute little cheese stick snowmen were only eaten by my son because his Christmas party was canceled due to a Covid outbreak. So Valentine’s Day was my chance!

I perused Pinterest for some ideas that were super cute, yet not overly time consuming. I decided on Jello love bugs and fruit snack butterflies!

The butterflies were super quick and easy (and cheap!) Just berry flavored fruit snacks since the package is purple and pink and then wrap a pipe cleaner around and twist it to look like antennas!

The love bugs turned out cute even though I didn’t put the heart feet on. I didn’t feel like cutting out cardstock hearts! I also decided to forgo the glue gun and just used Scotch double sided tape. It worked great and was quicker. Plus my son was able to help me stick everything on! The only thing that was a little “extra” was putting the spots on. But they looked so cute, I couldn’t resist!

Oh and I made his Valentine cards on Canva! If you don’t know about this, you should definitely check it out. If you are in education you get the premium account for FREE! πŸ₯³

I would love to see your cute and easy Valentine snacks! Or any holiday snacks! Drop some in the comments!
